    Bureau des Copyrights Français (BCF), or the French Copyright Office, is a Japanese literary agency that manages French and Japanese copyrights and promotes the Japanese translation of French works in Japan and the translation of Japanese works into French. BCF handles negotiations, proceedings, and the preparation of contracts between French and Japanese publishing companies. BCF deals every year with more than 180 translation contracts and also manages subsidiary rights for reading, audiovisual and theatrical adaptations, use in publicity, etc.
