Sōsuke Natsukawa

Sōsuke Natsukawa 夏川草介

Sōsuke Natsukawa  (1978–)  was born in Osaka and graduated from Shinshū University Medical School. He has practiced medicine at a hospital in the largely rural prefecture of Nagano. Natsukawa’s debut novel, Kamisama no karute (God’s Medical Chart), won the Shogakukan Pocket-Book Novel Award in 2009. Sales took off with incredible speed as soon as the book was published, making it an unprecedented bestseller for a first-time author. In 2010, the book was runner-up for the Japan Booksellers Award.
