Kazuho Abe

Kazuho Abe 阿部和穂

Kazuho Abe was born in Ehime Prefecture. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Tokyo, where he continued his studies in the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences on his way to a doctor of pharmacy degree. After a stint as research scientist at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in California, he joined the faculty of the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Musashino University. His fields of specialization are the brain and drugs, with a prominent focus on the causes of dementia and the development of therapeutic agents. His publications include Manga de yomu nō to sake (Your Brain and Alcohol: The Comic Book), and Ninchishō to tatakau nō (The Brain’s Battle with Dementia).
